Health & Safety policy

Remøy Management work proactively to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all its employees. The objective is to prevent incidents, accidents and work-related ill health by managing the health and safety risks on board and ashore.

The company encourage the personnel to take care of own health and to keep physically active. Accordingly, employees are offered healthy and nutritional quality food and all vessels have training facilities available on board.

Remøy Management will achieve the health and safety objectives by:

  • Control of substances hazardous to health
  • Provide and ensure use of suitable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Risk evaluation and work description procedures
  • Make sure every employee are well qualified for their tasks
  • Encourage continually improvement in safety awareness and support the use of risk assessment in order to minimize accidents
  • Every employee has the right to exercise a “stop work” policy whenever any employee, subcontractor, or the environment is at risk
  • Ensure that our vessels are constructed with an working environmental focus
  • Arrange  emergency drills at regular intervals
  • Work description with designated HSEQ responsibilities
  • HSEQ action plan with periodical objectives and targets
  • The food quantity is adequately covering the requirement of the ship and the differing cultural and religious background is taken into consideration
  • Organizing work and off-duty time on board to create social and environmental conditions that are conducive to health, well-being and welfare for the workers
  • Reasonable opportunity for workers for professional and personal development through their work
